  1. Actually support inconclusive tests. Stop disabling a popular workflow!

I and many others use inconclusive to be able to sketch/plan a specification. Using a template I create a ton of small specific tests classes and methods that all call Assert.Inconclusive.

Then I(Or another developer!) start actually implementing the tests and the backend code one test at a time. As soon as one test passes I can move on to the next inconclusive test. Once they all pass I am done.

This is my favorite workflow, and I am completely unable to use it with NCrunch. Either I get no indication of what work I have left to do(successful setting),…

  2. Show Coverage in Visual Studio Solution Explorer

I think it would be really useful to show the amount of code coverage, perhaps as a circular progress bar, next to each file name in solution explorer. I always am looking at Solution Explorer as I'm working and navigating files and to have code coverage integrated directly would be really convenient.

Not sure if this is possible but I'm hoping recent VS changes made in 2013 and/or 2015 might make it possible to extend the built-in solution explorer window to allow this. Any idea if VS can be extended in such a manner?

  3. Show Visual Fail/Pass Indication next to each NUnit [TestCase] Attribute

When using NUnit's TestCase attribute, it'd be nice if NCrunch could display the status of each TestCase with the visual dot next to the actual TestCase attribute.

  4. provide an silent installation, which could be used within batch-files

this would make the installation of ncrunch in large companies much more easier.

E.g. in our company (~1000 developers) we use virtual desctops, with standard images. At the moment everyone who uses ncrunch has to reinstall it manually after the reguallary recompose. If this can be done via batch it would be much easier ( and may will be integrated in the recompose process).

  5. Set default engine mode per solution

Whilst I want the majority of test within a solution to run I have some that have resource dependencies (integration type tests) that I don't want to be run automatically.

Use of a custom engine mode based on categories allows me to do this but of course the default mode is "run everything" which is not what one wants.

So therefore, I would like to be able to set my custom "all but integration" mode as the default for a solution so that I don't have to worry too much
