Standalone UI which can be used with every other IDE
Here are some feature requests for Visual Studio Code and Rider. But these require deep Integration.
But since VS 2017 sucks so much these days. It would be nice if we can use another IDE.
I propose a standalone Version with the NCrunch with the UI and Windows which are currently in Visual Studio. But without Visual Studio.
Of course this is not such a tight integration with the IDEs (not jumping to the code, debug and break into failing tests etc.) but would be a good start. And of course, it is only running tests on save because of watching the files.
From that, over time, it may possible to make the standonline Version controlable over an API and WebSockets. This can be an open protcoll. On top on that it could be possible to integrate better with VS Code, Rider and other Stuff. So that NCrunch UI can notify a NCrunch Client Plugin for Code or Rider to jump to line X in File Y, or settings breakpoints and start the debugging session, of course much more.
Then it may possible to Open Source the Client PlugIn Development, with lightweight plugins which talks to NCrunch UI without the heavy integration inside the IDE or Editor.

A standalone version of NCrunch would be great - alone to provide its excellent grid node feature (a real USP!) to other IDEs/editors. That would extend NCrunch userbase beyond doubt.

I like this idea.

I fully support this idea.
IMHO that's the right way to move forward.
It's the only good future for NCrunch.
